Martin Portmann studied architecture at the Architectural Association in London, completing his AA Degree in Architecture (AA Dipl.) and Masters of Architecture (MA) in Housing and Urbanism. He is a registered architect of the Swiss Engineer and Architect Association (SIA).

On completion of his Masters degree, he returned to his homeland Switzerland to open his own architectural office in Luzern. He has now been building residential and commercial properties for almost 15 years, in and around central Switzerland.
